Seven reasons why you need BarCodeWiz
Barcode ActiveX Control:
It's Easy!
- Insert into your document, type the barcode into the Barcode field, and click
Print.
Versatile - Use it in your favorite programs. Easily
integrate with MS Office, Visual Basic, Visual C++, and other programs that take
advantage of ActiveX technology. Includes most of the popular barcode types (see
the list)
User Friendly
- Made a mistake? No time to read the manual? No problem. BarCodeWiz walks you
right through. For example, if you enter an invalid character, it will show you
exactly which character it is.
High Performance - Do you need a lot of barcodes?
BarCodeWiz can generate a million barcodes in about 20 seconds. If you
distribute your own programs, you will be happy to know that only one file,
barcodewiz.dll needs to be added to your program. And it's only 256kb (110kb
compressed)!
BarCodeWiz was written entirely in ATL / C++ for maximum performance.
High Quality
- Uses vector graphics for highest quality images. This is important with
barcode scanners, which demand highly accurate images. It means no more scanning
errors!
Error Proof
- Takes care of the mundane details: start/stop characters, check digits,
minimum dimensions, maximum characters, quiet zones, and more.
No Barcode Fonts! - BarCodeWiz barcode ActiveX draws
barcodes as images, and does not require the purchase of any barcode fonts nor
any additional software.
Supported Barcode
Types:
| Symbology Name |
Description |
| Code 39 |
Most commonly used non-retail symbology. Note that
the leading and trailing asterisks (*) are added automatically if not supplied.
Characters allowed:
0-9; A-Z; -.$*/+%, and space |
| Code 39 Extended |
Allows all ASCII 128 characters to be encoded by
using a double-character format. Most scanners will need to be switched to the
extended mode in order to recognize this. |
|
Code 128 A
|
Allows all ASCII values between 0 and 96. This
includes special characters, such as tab or escape. |
| Code 128 B |
Allows all ASCII values between 32 and 127.
(Unlike Code 128 A, it allows the use of lower-case letters) |
| Code 128 C |
High density, numeric only |
| Code 128 Auto |
Automatically chooses the best Code 128 subset. |
| UCC EAN 128 |
Commonly used in hospital and logistics
applications. |
| Interleaved 2 of 5 |

even number of digits. |
| Standard 2 of 5 |

Superset of Code 39. If required, it switches to
Code 93 Extended automatically. |
| Code 11 |

| Codabar |
Numeric-only symbology. Each barcode, however, must
start and end with the letters A,B,C or D. |
| MSI Plessey |

| UPC E |
Shorter version of UPC-A.
Not all UPC-A numbers can be converted to UPC-E |
